FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where do I start with exporting?

With an export-readiness assessment. In the first meeting we review your product, capacity, cost base and company documents. If the product is not ready to export yet, we tell you in that meeting what needs to change.

How are your fees calculated?

It depends on the engagement: a fixed fee for advisory and market research, or a percentage of shipment value for full export management. The model is agreed in the contract before work begins, with no hidden costs.

Can I export without a trading card?

Formal export requires a valid trading card. If you do not have one, you can start using Mehrcom’s legal infrastructure while we apply for yours in parallel.

How long from market research to the first shipment?

For goods needing no special permits, usually six to ten weeks. For food and products requiring health certification or destination-country registration, three to six months.

What if the foreign buyer does not pay?

That risk is managed through the payment instrument. For a new buyer we normally recommend a letter of credit or advance payment, and we vet the buyer before any contract is signed.

Do you help find foreign buyers?

Yes. Identifying and vetting potential buyers, making first contact, preparing an export profile and catalogue, attending trade fairs and supporting negotiations are all part of the service.

Have a product ready to export?

One short call is enough to find out which market will buy it.
